Web page Guidelines
The following document is for use with the BT Global Services Secure Device View
web page tool. The Diagnostic web page is a web interface that allows to query certain
network devices via a menu system
How to change the password
To change the password use the link "Change Password" shown on each page. Once
the password has expired You are asked to change your password. Passwords must be
at least 6 characters long and must contain at least one digit [0-9] and one special
character.
Where to go for additional help
Questions regarding access to, availability of, or the contents of thi service
can be directed to to your BT service desk via your BT service desk telephone number
or via your BT account team.
How to use on-line help
Online help is provided on the web page via the "Help" box located towards the
left of the page.
To use online help:
- Select the command you would like help on from the drop down list in the "Command" box.
- Once the proper command is selected click on the "Help" button.
- Provided below the "Command" is a listing of the requested command with the proper
parameter options to be used with that command.
How to use the web page
To use the web page please do the following:
- Enter in the desired IP address OR the device name in the "Device" text box.
- Select the command you want to run
- Enter appropriate command parameters
- Click the "Process Device" button
- Click "Clear" to select a different device
Security Policy
To access the Secure Device View utility a valid account is required. The password associated
to the account will expire in regular intervals. The account will expire and therefor be deactivated
if not used for too long.
